Delete your account

This page describes how to delete your account and all associated data for the slicecut app.

Option 1 — In the app (immediate)

• Open slicecut and go to Account (the person icon on the home screen).
• Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
• Review the consequences and confirm by typing your account e-mail address.

Deletion takes effect immediately. If you have an active paid plan, let it lapse first — the delete unlocks on the free plan.

Option 2 — Without the app

Send an e-mail to info@slicecut.io from the address your account is registered with and request deletion. We verify the sender address and delete the account within 7 days.

What gets deleted

• Your account and e-mail address
• All projects: transcripts, cut lists, editing sessions and their history
• All server-side metadata about your media (fingerprints, file names, durations) and any audio extracts still in the 7-day retention window
• Your usage and plan records

Your videos themselves never leave your device — deleting the app data on your phone removes the local copies; your originals in the gallery are never touched.

Retention after deletion

• Diagnostic logs: deleted automatically, at the latest 7 days after they were written.
• Encrypted database backups: rotate automatically and expire after 14 days.
